85'
Vital interception by Hennessey! A long ball is fired over the top of the Palace back line and towards Mane, who only has Hennessey to beat if he can latch onto the pass. He's unable to do so though, as Hennessey rushes off his line and just about manages to deal with the danger before saving Firmino's tame follow-up shot.

Palace have made an attacking substitution, with Sullay Kaikai coming on to take the place of Milivojevic.

Matip finds himself deep inside the Palace half of the pitch after charging forward. He plays a quick one-two with Sturridge and then tries to penetrate the box, but Timothy Fosu-Mensah stops him with a poor challenge that results in a free-kick for the hosts 20 yards away from goal. There's a brief break in play after Ragnar Klavan is caught in the face by a flailing arm from Benteke. It seemed to be largely accidental from big Belgian, however, and he just receives a talking to from the referee.
27'
Sturridge does really well to spin past two Palace players as he carves out a pocket of space for himself 25 yards away from goal. He then manages to unleash a thumping shot, but it's slightly too powerful and fails to trouble Hennessey.

We're off! Palace get us underway, attacking from left to right.
Good afternoon and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s Premier League game between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Liverpool’s opening game of the season may have been entertaining but it didn’t produce the result Jurgen Klopp would have been hoping for. Despite dazzling inside the final third of the pitch, the Reds looked just as disjointed at the back as they did for most of last season, allowing Watford to fire three past them and leave with a hard-earned draw.
Liverpool improved during the week, however, and managed to pick up an impressive 2-1 win against Hoffenheim in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs. They’ll be hoping to build on that solid performance with a first win of the Premier League season here today, especially as they’ve got Arsenal and Manchester City waiting for them in their next two league games.
Selhurst Park was filled with optimism heading into Palace’s first game of the season. The club’s capture of Frank de Boer was certainly an impressive one, despite his recent struggles at Inter. That optimism quickly turned to despair, however, as the Dutchman’s side were easily beaten by newly promoted Huddersfield Town, who comfortably tore through their porous back line on three separate occasions.
Patience will be key if De Boer is to implement his own style of play on a Palace side that struggled for much of last season, but the Dutchman needs to get some points on the board as soon as possible. Liverpool’s defensive struggles last weekend will have filled him with hope about his team’s chances of scoring here today, but the injury suffered by Wilfried Zaha is certainly a huge blow.
Despite the two sides battling at different ends of the table in recent seasons, games between them have often been exciting and open affairs. Palace have thoroughly enjoyed their trips to Anfield over the past few years, with three of the last four meetings here ending in victories for the Eagles.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this afternoon…
Liverpool substitutes: Karius, Flanagan, Lovren, Can, Salah, Solanke, Origi.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Mignolet; Gomez, Matip, Klavan, Robertson; Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum; Mane, Firmino, Sturridge.
Crystal Palace XI (3-4-3): Hennessey; Fosu-Mensah, Dann, Tomkins; Ward, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Van Aanholt; Townsend, Benteke, Loftus-Cheek.
Jurgen Klopp has decided to make five changes to the Liverpool side that started the draw against Watford last weekend, with the most notable inclusion being new signing Andrew Robertson, who replaces Alberto Moreno. There are also places in the starting line-up for Joe Gomez, Ragnar Klavan, James Milner and Daniel Sturridge, who replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Emre Can and Mohamed Salah, respectively.
Meanwhile, Palace boss Frank de Boer has made two alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Jairo Reidewald and Wilfried Zaha making way for James Tomkins and Andros Townsend.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
HALF-TIME: LIVERPOOL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
It's been a slightly frustrating afternoon for Liverpool so far, as they've dominated possession in all areas of the pitch but have struggled to break down Palace. Clearly frustrated at how poorly they performed last week, the visitors have looked much better today, despite the home side managing to find a few pockets of space in dangerous areas out wide.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: LIVERPOOL 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
It certainly wasn't easy, but Liverpool have just about managed to leave with a much-needed, and hard-earned, 1-0 victory. They were made to work incredibly hard by Palace, who looked a lot better than they did last weekend but, despite their best efforts, couldn't quite hold on to the clean sheet they craved so badly.
Liverpool particularly struggled in the first half but looked much more dangerous after the break. The introduction of Salah certainly made a big difference, and, even though he didn't play a direct role in the goal, he created plenty of space for the likes of Solanke, Firmino and, especially, Mane to operate in.
