Carrasco does really well to hold up the ball near to the corner flag as Atletico try to hold on to their slender lead. He then wins a throw-in for the home side after keeping Recio at bay, and the Malaga midfielder is shown a yellow card for arguing with the linesman about the decision.

79'
Hernandez is finally able to rejoin the action as Atletico push forward on yet another attack. The home side don't look to be in any great rush, however, as they seem to be content to patiently hold onto the ball as they try to keep hold of their one-goal advantage.
77'
The resulting free-kick is whipped into a dangerous position inside the Atletico penalty area and causes problems for the home side. It looks as if Filipe Luis is fouled as he rises high and meets the ball, but the referee waves away his protests and instead awards a corner to Malaga that fails to come to anything.

Juanfran gets yellow.
Juanfran becomes the latest player to receive a yellow card after cynically blocking off Ricca as he tried to storm down the left flank.

The game gets underway once again as Hernandez receives medical treatment on the touchline. Malaga do well to deal with another Atletico attacking move before breaking away quickly, but Alex Mula can't pick out a team-mate with his bouncing cross into the box.
73'
Ouch! Atletico win themselves a corner over on the left wing that's sent short and back to Gabi. The midfielder whips a dangerous cross into the heart of the Malaga box and towards Godin, who is beaten to the ball by Hernandez and ends up crashing into the centre-back's head. That looked painful, and he seems to be bleeding quite heavily.
71'
Torres twists and turns over on the right-hand side of the Malaga penalty area as he does well to hold off his marker. He then spins and tries to pick out Griezmann, but the Frenchman is beaten to the ball at the vital moment before he can get a shot away.

Keko Gontán enters the game and replaces E. Rolón.
Malaga have made their second change of the game, with Esteban Rolon making way for Keko.
69'
Carrasco twists and turns deep down the left flank as he tries to carve out a pocket of space for himself. He initially looks to have got the better of Rosales but the defender shows good determination to stick with the Belgian, and he's eventually able to dispossess him before winning a free-kick for the visitors.
67'
Torres is almost immediately set up inside the box after Juanfran swings in a cross from the right wing, but it's deflected behind for a corner. The set-piece is initially dealt with well before Koke fires another cross into the penalty area, but it's completely overhit by the midfielder and sails out of play for a throw-in.
66'
Fernando Torres enters the game and replaces Á. Correa.
Fernando Torres receives an almighty cheer from the home fans as he comes on to replace Correa.

Y. Carrasco gets yellow.

61'
A. Griezmann has scored a goal for Atletico Madrid! Assist by Á. Correa.
Assist Ángel Martín Correa
GOAL! Atletico have finally found the lead! Correa does really well to wriggle away from two players out wide as he cuts in from the right flank. He reaches the edge of the box and then fizzes a low pass across the face of goal, where it sets up Griezmann to blast in from close range. It's a truly historic goal!
59'
Great block by Hernandez! A cross-field pass perfectly picks out Filipe Luis, who immediately nods the ball down to Carrasco. The Belgian quickly flicks the ball over Recio and then shoots, but Hernandez is there to block the thumping effort with a brilliant block.
57'
Malaga quickly string together a decent series of passes as they make their way down the left flank. Ricca then chips the ball past Gabi and rushes onto it, but he's unable to keep it in play and concedes a throw-in before he can send a cross into the box.
55'
Griezmann gets himself into a good position out wide and quickly crosses, but it's deflected behind for another corner. The set-piece is half dealt with by Malaga and loops out to Carrasco, who quickly unleashes a 25-yard volley but sends it high over the top of the crossbar.
53'
Atletico have started the second half much better than they finished the first, and they're now attacking with real intent. Once again, Saul is able to get a shot away from distance after the Malaga midfielders fail to close him down quickly enough, but his rushed effort is poorly hit and fails to trouble Roberto.
51'
Godin goes down in the penalty area, but nothing is given! Saul receives the ball in a pocket of space 30 yards away from goal and quickly shoots, forcing Roberto into pushing the thumping strike over the crossbar and behind for a corner. The set-piece is curled into the middle of the box and looks set to find Godin, but the centre-back goes down under a challenge from Hernandez before he's able to reach it. He immediately screams for a penalty, but the referee isn't at all interested and allows play to go on.
50'
Huge chance for Koke! Filipe Luis dives into a challenge inside the Malaga box and does well to poke the ball into the path of Koke. The midfielder rushes onto it and manages to get a poked shot away from close range, but Roberto darts out to deal with the effort with a great save with his feet.
48'
Carrasco makes an immediate impact as he charges down the left flank and into the Malaga penalty area. He easily skips past two defenders and then gets a shot away, but his strike is slightly mishit and rolls comfortably wide of the near post.
47'
Koke is penalised for a handball call that seemed to be a harsh one, and Malaga are presented with a free-kick in a promising position. Recio's low cross dangerously loops up into the air and over to the far post, where the home side are just about able to deal with the threat before a Malaga player can get a shot away.
46'
Y. Carrasco enters the game and replaces T. Partey.
Atletico have made a change during the half-time break, and it's an understandable one. Thomas Partey has made way for Yannick Carrasco as the home side try to add a bit of creativity to their front line.
We're underway once again!
45' +1
Atletico push forward on one final attack before the half-time break. A looping cross into the heart of the box from Juanfran manages to pick out Godin in front of goal, but the centre-back can't get the ball under control and Malaga are able to hold on once again.
45'
The fourth official has indicated that there will be just one minute of added time.
44'
Chance for Correa! Space opens up in the middle after Malaga are caught with slightly too many bodies up the other end of the pitch. Saul Niguez and Correa link up nicely just outside of the box before the Argentine shoots, but his low effort from 20 yards out lacks the power needed to beat Roberto.
43'
Juanfran is dispossessed deep down the right flank, and once again Malaga try to hit the home side on a quick counter-attack. They initially move the ball around nicely before Adrian attempts to get the better of Gabi, but it's the Atletico midfielder who comes out on top with a great tackle.
41'
Juanfran and Griezmann link up nicely over on the right-hand side of the Malaga penalty area, setting up the Frenchman to whip a cross into the middle of the box. It looks set to find the head of Correa, but he can't get the better of Hernandez and the defender comfortably comes out on top.
39'
The game is starting to open up, allowing both sides to find some more joy when pushing forward. Once again, Atletico can't find a way through and gift Malaga with a chance to counter-attack, but Castro finds himself surrounded by red and white shirts and is cleanly dispossessed before he can link up with a team-mate.
37'
What a chance for Borja Baston! Another Atletico attacking move breaks down and allows Malaga to break forward quickly. Castro darts through the middle of the pitch before setting up Borja to burst into the box and shoot, but Jan Oblak pulls off a smart save at the near post to deny him.
35'
Malaga counter-attack quickly and find themselves in a great position to cave out a first chance on goal, but Castro's attempted pass from deep down the left flank is horribly hit and makes life easy for the home side, who are easily able to deal with the danger.
33'
Godin finds himself deep inside the Malaga penalty area as he desperately tries to help his side find a way in front. He juggles the ball at the near post and is eventually able to tee up Correa, who quickly tries to tee up Griezmann but is closed down well by a group of defenders.
31'
There's a brief moment of concern for Malaga after Federico Ricca goes down off the ball. The replays show that he received a nasty arm to the side of the face from Koke as the two battled for the ball, but he's able to make a full recovery after receiving medical attention for a few moments.
29'
Almost immediately after the restart, Griezmann is set up with another opportunity to test Roberto after darting into the Malaga penalty area. His run is slightly mistimed though, and the linesman's flag is quickly raised once again.
28'
Griezmann hits the post! Lovely link-up play inside the Malaga box sets up Correa to cut a pass back to Griezmann. The Frenchman meets it well and immediately hits the woodwork with a clever flicked shot, but the flag is immediately raised as Correa was unable to keep the ball in play.
27'
Recio does well to spin round his marker on the right-hand side of the Atletico penalty area after Malaga are finally able to push forward. He then whips a low cross into the middle of the box, but he can't find a dark grey shirt and the hosts easily hold on.
25'
Koke is eventually able to get himself into a decent pocket of space as Atletico try to carve out a chance on goal after knocking the ball around for what feels like an age, but his run down the right flank is mistimed and as soon as he tries to whip a cross into the penalty area, the linesman's flag is raised.
23'
Atletico are comfortably on the front foot at the moment, but they're struggling to find a way through the sea of dark grey shirts camped in front of them. Malaga look well-organised and rigid, and they're doing well to make life tough for the home side.
21'
Correa easily skips past Recio as he darts past the midfielder and into the left-hand side of the Malaga box. He then tries to set up Griezmann with a chipped cross, but, once again, Hernandez is there to get a head on it.
20'
Malaga are finally able to put together a series of passes as they spend some decent time on the ball, but they eventually loses out to Gabi. The midfielder wins a free-kick and quickly sends it over to Filipe Luis, who tries to pick out Griezmann with a long-range through-ball but can't find the Frenchman.
18'
Juanfran darts into the right-hand side of the visitors' penalty area and is able to fire a cross back towards Gabi. The midfielder meets it and scoops the ball up into the air, forcing Roberto into punching it away from danger under pressure from Griezmann at the near post.
16'
Juanfran has the ball stolen away from him deep down the right wing, and it looks as if Malaga are going to counter-attack quickly. They're unable to do so and Adrian ends up being dispossessed, allowing Correa to swing in a well-placed cross that forces the Malaga defence into action once again.
14'
Atletico patiently work their way forward as they keep putting plenty of pressure on the Malaga back line, but a poor, rushed pass from Correa fails to find a team-mate and gifts possession to the visitors on the edge of their own penalty area.
12'
And now Koke goes close! Once again, it's Juanfran who breaks forward before cutting a clever pass into the Malaga box. It finds Koke and sets up the midfielder to shoot, but he's quickly closed down by Roberto Rosales and can't get the better of the Venezuelan.
11'
Chance for Correa! Juanfran isn't closed down quickly enough over on the right wing, allowing him to whip a dangerous cross into the heart of the penalty area. It's met by Luis Hernandez but only cleared as far as Correa, who immediately unleashes a shot that sails several yards over the top of the crossbar.
9'
Filipe Luis gets himself into a good position out wide and quickly whips a cross into the Malaga box. It takes a slight deflection off a defender and bounces close to Griezmann, but the Frenchman can't quite reach the ball and loses out to Roberto at the near post.
7'
Malaga try to push forward on their first attacking move of the game as a bit of space opens up for them over on the left flank. Chory Castro is unable to find a way into the penalty area though, as Diego Godin easily manages to shepherd the ball behind for a goal-kick.
5'
Vital interception by Diego Gonzalez! This time it's Juanfran who sends a clever pass down the wing and towards Angel Correa. The Argentine darts onto the ball and quickly whips it into the path of Griezmann, but just as it looks as if the striker is going to fire in the first goal of the game, Gonzalez does brilliantly to poke the ball behind for a corner.
3'
A lofted pass is fired down the right flank and into the path of Juanfran. The full-back meets the ball well and then fizzes a pass across the face of goal, but it can't quite find Antoine Griezmann in front of goal and fails to result in a first chance on goal for the home side.

We're off! Atletico get us underway, attacking from right to left.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today’s LaLiga game between Atletico Madrid and Malaga at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico remain unbeaten this season heading into their first LaLiga game at their brand new stadium, and they’ll be looking to pick up a second win in four games as they try to climb further up the table. Two goalless draws have left them slightly frustrated, but they shouldn’t have too many problems against a side that currently find themselves struggling at the wrong end of the league.
Tonight’s hosts were given a tough time by Girona on the opening weekend and had to settle for a 2-2 draw after fighting back late on, but they did well to comfortably see off Las Palmas in a 5-1 thrashing a week later. Today marks the return of Antoine Griezmann after he was suspended for two games for a red card against Girona, and the Frenchman should be able to stop his side from going three games without a goal.
It’s been a really tough start to the season for Malaga, and it’s one that has left them struggling at the wrong end of the table. Eibar, Girona and Las Palmas have already managed to get the better of them, and this evening’s clash is certainly their biggest test so far. With Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla all to face in the next few weeks, it could get worse before it gets better for the Boquerones.
Last season’s meeting between these two sides at the Vicente Calderon was an absolutely thrilling encounter that saw both teams get reduced to 10 men. In the end, Atletico were just about able to hold onto a 4-2 win thanks to two goals each for Yannick Carrasco and Kevin Gameiro. Malaga have won just one of the previous 12 games involving the two clubs, with the last victory in this part of Madrid coming back in May 2011.
There’s just under 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
Atletico Madrid substitutes: Moya, Savic, Gaitan, Vietto, Carrasco, Gameiro, Torres.
Diego Simeone has decided to make two changes to the Atletico side that started the goalless draw away to Roma on Tuesday, with Lucas Hernandez and Angel Correa coming into the starting line-up to replace Stefan Savic and Luciano Vietto, respectively.
Atletico Madrid XI (4-4-2): Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Lucas, Filipe Luis; Koke, Thomas, Gabi, Saul; Griezmann, Correa.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
Malaga XI (4-2-3-1): Roberto; Rosales, Luis Hernandez, Gonzalez, Ricca; Rolon, Recio; Castro, Adrian, Mula; Borja.
Meanwhile, Malaga boss Michel has also made two alterations to the team that featured in their last outing, with Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Keko making way for debutant Esteban Rolon and Chory Castro.
HALF-TIME: ATLETICO MADRID 0-0 MALAGA
So far, so good for Malaga, who have done well to frustrate Atletico and head into the break with the scoreline still level. The home side have dominated possession and put plenty pressure on their opponents' back line, but the visitors have remained compact and well-organised. As a result, they haven't been tested as much as they would have been expecting, and they've even managed to cause the hosts a few problems when presented with opportunities to break away quickly.
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half.
Atletico's first outing at their new stadium has been a total success, and they're able to head away with a well-deserved 1-0 victory thanks to a hard-working performance from all involved. Malaga made it difficult for the hosts as they sat deep and frustrated with impressive defending, but, in the end, Los Colchoneros had enough creativity in their ranks to finally find the back of the net.
