The Etihad is in good voice after a largely frustrating performance. City are keeping the ball and cruising to victory.
90' +2
The visitors win a corner, but City clear. A second cross is gathered by Ederson. Feyenoord are headed for a fifth defeat from five. A record as dismal as City's is great.
90' +1
Brahim Díaz enters the game and replaces R. Sterling.
There will be a minimum of four additional minutes here as Feyenoord look to respond.
SUB! Sterling scores the goal, wins a foul and then that's him done. Brahim, likes Foden before him, gets a great reception.
88'
R. Sterling has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
Gundogan to Sterling, back to Gundogan, back to Sterling. It was a wonderful move that deserved a goal. The England man's movement leaving his marker for dead.
GOAL! Scratch that! City are headed for a fifth win and Sterling has four from his last four in the Champions League. He's in sensational form and lifts a gorgeous finish over Jones and into the top-left corner. 1-0.
87'
Aguero races to the byline but his cross is too strong. City's perfect record in this group stage is about to end.
86'
Danilo gets yellow.
YELLOW! Feyenoord clear and counter, but Danilo commits a crucial foul to allow his team-mates to get back.
85'
Wonderful from Sterling! He turns and plays in Gabriel Jesus, who crosses instead of shooting and wins a corner.
84'
Napoli have a second in Italy and so Feyenoord's European adventure is over without a goal...
83'
Corner for City as Gundogan's pass is headed behind...
CLOSE! Gabriel Jesus meets Bernardo Silva's right-wing set-piece but directs his header just beyond the far post.
Minute
Description
82'
B. Başaçıkoğlu enters the game and replaces S. Berghuis.
SUB! Another change for the visitors. Bilal Basacikoglu is on for Berghuis.
80'
Feyenoord are pushing hard, but Larsson's pass for Berghuis is overhit as they have numbers forward in attack. City have not build on a fine start to the second half at the other end.
YELLOW! Amrabat has been guilty of a few fouls and is booked for the latest, bringing down Foden.
79'
J. Toornstra gets yellow.
78'
Bernardo Silva tries to slip a pass through for Gabriel Jesus, who manages to nudge the ball into Danilo's path but only after fouling his man.
76'
Foden is immediately involved, feeding Gabriel Jesus who wins a corner. Feyenoord clear.
75'
P. Foden enters the game and replaces Y. Touré.
SUB! Foden's big moment comes! He's on for Toure, a player twice his age.
73'
B. Jones gets yellow.
CHANCE! What a chance! Jones punches clear from Bernardo Silva, Walker crosses again and then so too does the Portuguese. Aguero controls and he's in but shoots wide. He really should have scored.
YELLOW! In among all of that, Jones goes into the book.
72'
B. Nieuwkoop enters the game and replaces K. Diks.
Perhaps a harsh foul? Amrabat thunders in on Gundogan and wins the ball, with his studs pointed away from the German. Gundogan goes down, though, and City have the free-kick.
SUB! Feyenoord's second change sees Bart Nieuwkoop replace Diks at right-back.
71'
City are all over the place at the back now, with this tactical switch so far not working at all. Otamendi and Ederson just about deal with a promising attack, the latter calmly volleying clear.
70'
City clear and counter, but Aguero and Sterling cannot combine and Feyenoord are back on the attack...
69'
N. Jørgensen enters the game and replaces J. Boëtius.
SAVE! Feyenoord have been excellent in the last 10 minutes! After Toornstra's break is halted, they come again and Larsson feeds Berghius. Ederson tips over.
SUB! Boetius makes way and the dangerous Nicolai Jorgensen is on for the visitors.
68'
City look to have changed shape with the introduction of Gabriel Jesus. Danilo now appears to be playing in the centre of midfield. This is a system Guardiola had suggested we would not see while Benjamin Mendy remains out.
67'
CLOSE! A fine effort from Toure! He curls the ball over the wall and just wide of the right-hand post. Jones was across and may have helped that on its way. Goal kick.
66'
Brilliant play from Danilo to dance through the Feyenoord midfield and win a free-kick in a promising position...
64'
Gabriel Jesus enters the game and replaces K. De Bruyne.
SUB! Gabriel Jesus replaces De Bruyne.
63'
CLOSE! What an effort from De Bruyne! He drives hard and low, the strike skipping wide of the far post. That will be his last action...
62'
Feyenoord have a spring in their step now and City are preparing Gabriel Jesus. Perhaps the more inexperienced squad members will have to wait for their chance? Guardiola cannot be happy with how this game is panning out.
61'
CLOSE! Larsson gets plenty behind the free-kick but it just won't quite come down in time. Ederson is untroubled.
60'
K. De Bruyne gets yellow.
YELLOW! Another card and it's a costly one. De Bruyne will miss the trip to Shakhtar on matchday six after he trips Berghuis on the edge of the City area.
59'
E. Mangala gets yellow.
YELLOW! Boetius' smart dummy leaves Mangala in the dust and the defender can only clip the Feyenoord man's heels.
57'
And more bad news for Feyenoord. Napoli lead Shakhtar Donetsk and the Dutch side are heading out of European competition for this season as it stands. They need a goal...
56'
T. Vilhena gets yellow.
YELLOW! A first booking as Vilhena, outrun by Toure, drags his man back and then dives in. Blatant.
55'
Walker is quick enough to race beyond Tapia on the right, yet too quick to keep his balance. Both the full back and the ball run beyond the byline.
54'
That looked tight. De Bruyne feeds a pass through for Walker whose cross tests Jones. He is flagged offside but looked at worst in line with the last defender.
52'
Unfortunate for Sterling. Walker hurtles down the right and crosses, the ball skipping through for Sterling on the far side. His first touch escapes him as Diks stumbles and Feyenoord breathe a sigh of relief.
51'
And another opening, Aguero trading passes with Gundogan to work a yard. The finish is wayward again, though, sailing over the top.
50'
WIDE! Danilo crosses, Aguero slices and the ball runs for De Bruyne. His thunderous strike is off target.
49'
City need to build on this early momentum or risk another trundling half of football. They're moving the ball quicker at least.
48'
City have started with considerably more urgency and Van Beek scoops the ball over his own crossbar from Bernardo Silva's cross as Sterling lurks. The corner comes to nothing.
47'
There is applause as the City substitutes warm up early in this second half, with Foden and Brahim among them.
46'
KICK-OFF: Aguero gets us started again!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: Manchester City 0 Feyenoord 0.
De Bruyne's free-kick is driven low, but Amrabat bravely blocks and that will be that for the first half.
45'
A free-kick in a promosing position on the left late in the half for City. Amrabat fouls Sterling.
43'
Sterling has been City's best player here and he looks to race beyond Diks on the outside this time. Corner...
City go short again and it doesn't really pay off, Gundogan eventually picking out Sterling who is then muscled off the pitch.
42'
SAVE! Much better from Ederson! After more defensive sloppiness, he charges out to meet Vilhena and blocks. Corner and City clear.
41'
City have just looked a little shaky at the back since their forward line has clicked into gear. They should have been made to pay by now. Nicolas Otamendi is the latest to dally in possession and Jens Toornstra cannot control quickly enough in the middle.
38'
De Bruyne looks to feed a pass in behind Haps, but Aguero leaves the ball for Bernardo Silva as Bernardo Silva leaves the ball for Aguero. The defender nips in and wins a free-kick from the Portuguese.
37'
SAVE! What a chance for City now! Sterling is causing all sorts of problems and he brilliantly tees up Bernardo Silva, waiting until the perfect moment to play the pass. But the former Monaco man tamely shoots straight at Jones. He really had to do better.
36'
CLOSE! Now Feyenoord attack and this is a fine effort from Larsson! After a counter on the left, he dances this way and that before curling just wide of the far post.
34'
Bernardo Silva delivers a lovely pass in for Aguero in the area, weighted to perfection. The centre backs combine to squeeze out the City man, though. Jones collects.
33'
SAVE! Sterling has looked dangerous cutting in from the left throughout and he tests Jones with a strike, the goalkeeper then claiming the rebound. City's momentum is starting to build...
32'
CHANCE! That was the type of opening you expect a player of Aguero's ilk to do better with. De Bruyne dashes down the left and crosses with his right, picking out the head of his captain whose effort loops over the top.
31'
High and wide from Gundogan! It's a lovely move as De Bruyne squeezes a pass through for Toure, the ball then moving through Aguero for Gundogan to curl off target.
30'
Walker and Bernardo Silva combine to good effect on the right but, just as they head towards the penalty area, the full back is caught blatantly offside.
28'
That was nearly the first, though! Aguero and Gundogan trade passes and Sven van Beek is just back in time to deny the latter a clear shot on goal in the area.
26'
City want a penalty as Aguero goes down... it's a goal kick. Amrabat steps in on the Argentine, but the forward's touch was perhaps a little heavy.
Ederson has been pretty sturdy so far this season, but his awful first touch from a long ball almost lets Boetius in! The goalkeeper makes a superb recovering challenge, though, and Danilo is quickly on the scene to assist. No real chances either way as of yet.
25'
Sterling jinks inside from the left after a quiet couple of minutes, delivering a cross to Bernardo Silva. He makes strong connection with the header but can find only a recovering defender as Aguero lurks.
22'
It's all a little clumsy from the pool leaders in the final third so far. Gundogan, De Bruyne and Aguero are all misplacing passes. Fortunately, Yaya Toure has superbly stepped into Fernandinho's boots with a strong shielding job.
21'
SAVE! City's midfield is so busy and it is De Bruyne who steals possession and bursts forward. The ball eventually falls kindly for Aguero, chasing his 100th Etihad goal, but the finish is comfortable for Jones. Straight down the middle.
20'
More problems for the visiting defence! Aguero spins in behind onto Walker's deflected pass and thrashes across a centre which reaches Sterling at the back post. Feyenoord are sleeping, yet Sterling can only direct a tame lobbed cross back into Jones' grateful arms.
19'
Feyenoord are clearly now favouring a counter-attacking style, but their ambition is leaving gaps. They are fortunate to see Gundogan miscontrol when a poor clearance lands at his feet on the edge of the area.
18'
Awful from Boetius! Feyenoord has numbers up in attack and the switch is headed for the feet of Larsson, only for the forward to attempt to intercept, nudging the ball away from his team-mates. There was seemingly no communication there.
16'
Feyenoord are growing in confidence, but Jones certainly isn't! After some tidy defensive work from Sofyan Amrabat, his goalkeeper passes the ball straight to Bernardo Silva. Jones is very relieved to see a heavy first touch.
15'
Wonderful dribble from Steven Berghuis, cutting in from the left and forcing a corner with his deflected shot! Ederson was wrongfooted but there are no worries from the set-pieces, which misses via the Feyenoord man at the front post.
14'
And more nerves for Jones! Walker delivers a cross that is too close to the goalkeeper, but he fumbles a simple take and Aguero is almost there to reach the rebound.
13'
A slight moment of concern for Brad Jones. Danilo lofts a pass through for Bernardo Silva, who seemingly involuntarily knocks the ball out of Jones' hands. The goalkeeper is relieved to hear the whistle for a foul.
11'
City keep the ball but there's more sloppiness at the conclusion of the move, Walker blazing a pass out for a throw-in on the far side.
Vilhena is lucky to avoid a yellow card as he thunders into Gundogan. That was late but it's just a free-kick.
10'
More steady City possession as they seek the right run, the right pass. Feyenoord sit deep and then swarm.
9'
De Bruyne is always on the move. He runs in behind and delivers a dangerous centre that Kevin Diks hacks behind...
WIDE! And that leads to a first effort. The corner goes short and Sterling tees up Danilo for a low drive that skips wide of the left-hand post.
8'
Really nice play from Feyenoord following a poor Aguero touch, Sam Larsson playing a neat one-two with Tonny Vilhena to evade Walker on the left, but City have numbers back and they snap into action.
6'
City are going to get one right at some point. Sterling wriggles free and then hits the first man as he looks to loft a ball through for De Bruyne. Feyenoord cannot keep the ball.
5'
A lovely shimmy allows Kyle Walker to dance inside on the left, but it's Gundogan's turn to be let down by the final ball.
4'
That leads to a hurried clearance and Ilkay Gundogan has the opportunity to slip in De Bruyne. The pass is too strong and the German screams with frustration.
3'
Feyenoord are working so hard, but still they struggle to get near City. Even when Renato Tapia bursts clear from the visiting back line, he overruns the ball and presents it straight back to the hosts.
2'
A lazy touch from Raheem Sterling on the left brings City's first move to an end. Kevin De Bruyne is already seeing plenty of the ball.
1'
KICK-OFF: Jean-Paul Boetius gets us under way for Feyenoord.
Feyenoord keep the ball for the first 30 seconds, but City are working hard from the off. Bernardo Silva lunges in front of a Ridgeciano Haps clearance and similar challenges follow across the pitch.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary as already-qualified Manchester City host already-eliminated Feyenoord in Group F on matchday five of the Champions League!
As that introduction suggests, Feyenoord face an uphill struggle to get a result today and keep their Europa League hopes alive against a City side unbeaten in all competitions this season.
Pep Guardiola's men are in imperious form this term, as the Eredivisie side saw in the 0-4 reverse fixture in Rotterdam. That was the first of four straight European wins for City.
John Stones netted twice in that one, but injury keeps him out at the Etihad. Let's take a look at the team news...
Manchester City (4-3-3): Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Danilo, De Bruyne, Toure, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Sterling.
Subs: Vermeer, Nieuwkoop, St Juste, Jorgensen, Basacikoglu, Nelom, Kramer.
Guardiola has selected a stronger side than perhaps many expected. Eliaquim Mangala starts as both Stones and Vincent Kompany miss out. Sergio Aguero is captain.
Feyenoord are toiling in seventh in their domestic league and they make four changes from the team that drew 1-1 at home to VVV Venlo on Saturday.
The away supporters certainly are not going to let their slight chances of a result ruin the trip. The visiting enclosure has been packed out for some time in Manchester.
Here come the teams! We are but an anthem away from the kick-off.
Die meister, die besten, les grandes equipes, the champions...
This has not been City's best half of football and there's been little genuine goalmouth action to speak of. Aguero and Bernardo Silva each should have done better in promising positions, but Feyenoord have threatened, too, through Larsson.
The visitors will be the happier of the two sides at the halfway stage. We will bring you all the second half action shortly...
On the home bench, all eyes are on Phil Foden, outstanding in the Under-17 World Cup earlier this season, as he prepares for senior debuts. There has been a lot of hype about the England youth star and fellow substitute Brahim Diaz in recent weeks and months.
Subs: Bravo, Delph, David Silva, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus, Foden, Brahim.
That's all from this one. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
City stay perfect, Feyenoord crash out of Europe. Sterling's goal proves the difference.
