Swansea will not like seeing Ritchie deliver the pinpoint cross to pick out Lascelles in the box for the goal.
GOALLLLLL!!!! NEWCASTLE TAKE THE LEAD! Lascelles rises above Mawson in the box and he powers a close-range header past Fabianski into the net. The Magpies were in the ascendency and have put themselves in control of the game for the closing stages as their skipper finds the net with a bullet header.

34'
SAVE! Fabianski makes a great save to deny Joselu. Ritchie whipped the ball in from the left flank and the Spaniard got the march on Mawson to glance a header towards the bottom corner, but at full stretch Fabianski was able to palm the ball past the post. A super stop from the Pole.

We're underway at the Liberty Stadium.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Swansea City and Newcastle United at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea have had a steady start to the season, taking four points from their opening three games. Paul Clement's men beat Crystal Palace last time in a 2-0 victory at Selhurst Park. Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew notched the goals and both men will be aiming to keep on firing amid the arrival of Wilfried Bony to bolster the frontline.
Swansea arguably pulled out one of the biggest coups of the transfer window by signing Renato Sanches on loan from Bayern Munich. He will be pressed to fill the void left by Gylfi Sigurdsson. Should the Portuguese deliver on his potential then he could thrive for the Swans this season.
Newcastle earned a vital win against West Ham last time out to take the pressure off after losing their opening two matches of the campaign. Rafa Benitez made no secret of his displeasure with the club's business in the transfer window or lack thereof. Contests like today will be telling in whether the club has enough talent to remain in the Premier League.
Benitez will be missing from the sideline as he recovers from a hernia operation and a resulting infection. Assistant manager Francisco de Míguel Moreno - Paco - will take charge of the club this afternoon.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Swansea have made one change from their win over Palace last time out. Clement has altered his system to accomodate Sanches in the side to make his debut. The Portuguese replaces Mike van der Hoorn in the team as the Swans shift to a four-man backline and a diamond-shape in midfield. Wilfried Bony starts from the bench this afternoon.
Newcastle have made two changes from their win over West Ham. Jesus Gamez makes his first start of the season to replace Chancel Mbemba at left-back, while Christian Atsu drops to the bench as Jacob Murphy comes into the starting line-up. Jonjo Shelvey returns from suspension to take a place on the bench.
FLASHBACK! Swansea beat Newcastle 2-0 in their last clash at the Liberty Stadium in August 2015. Goals from Bafetimbi Gomis and Andre Ayew secured the win for the Swans as Daryl Janmaat saw red for the Magpies.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 0-0 NEWCASTLE
It's goalless at the break at the Liberty Stadium. Both sides have had good chances, with the best arguably falling to Newcastle. Joselu came within inches of breaking the deadlock, only to be denied by an outstanding save from Lukasz Fabianski. At the other end Jordan Ayew saw his shot well stopped by Rob Elliot before Alfie Mawson headed wide of the post. It has been a frenetic game and there should be more drama to come in the second half.
FULL-TIME: SWANSEA 0-1 NEWCASTLE
Newcastle claim their second win on the bounce in the Premier League as Jamaal Lascelles' goal decides the contest. Swansea will feel hard done by, but were made to pay for their lack of clinical edge in the box. After a tough start to the season Newcastle move into the top half of the table, but may have to count their blessings as well after Matt Ritchie escaped a red card for a similar incident to the one that saw Sadio Mane dismissed on Saturday.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
