SAVE! Giroud should have a debut goal! Hazard flicks the ball through for his strike partner, but Karnezis blocks as the Frenchman slides in. The corner is cleared, too.
90' +5
Chelsea are keeping the ball but, at 4-1 down, that's not preventing the home fans from mocking the beaten Blues, questioning their credentials as champions. Hazard thinks he's in, but the flag is up. This is painful for Conte.
90' +3
A. Gray enters the game and replaces T. Deeney.
SUB! Deeney makes way for Gray as the Watford fans chant: "We want five..."
90' +1
R. Pereyra has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by A. Doucouré.
Every Watford pass is cheered as they keep the ball in Chelsea's half. There will be six minutes of stoppage time, however...
It's another assist for Doucoure, another beauty. He spots Pereyra's run and slides the ball in behind David Luiz and Cahill. Marvellous.
GOAL! Pereyra gets in on the act and Watford are rampant! What a wonderful, wonderful finish from the substitute, who runs across the Chelsea defence and delays just a second to leave Azpilicueta off balance before shooting inside the left-hand post. 4-1.
89'
A. Carrillo enters the game and replaces Deulofeu.
SUB! And that's Deulofeu's last action. Carrillo replaces the goalscorer.
88'
Deulofeu has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by A. Doucouré.
Doucoure's wonderful pass set Deulofeu away, with the Spaniard's speed simply too much for the Chelsea back line once again.
GOAL! Deulofeu has been brilliant and he gets the goal he deserves! It's another individual strike, cutting inside from the right to shoot into the bottom-left corner, and that should be that. 3-1.
86'
Back come Chelsea. Hazard is fouled on halfway. What a finish to this game.
84'
D. Janmaat has scored a goal for Watford! Assist by R. Pereyra.
CHANCE! Deeney sets Deulofeu through and he almost restores the hosts' lead! The Spaniard's finish drops just wide of the far post. So close.
Pereyra teed up the shot, but it was all about Janmaat. What a magnificent goal. Watford are set for the three points once more.
GOAL! Janmaat! Incredible. The Dutchman scored a wonderful individual goal against Chelsea last season, but this is even better. He beats man after man, trades passes with Pereyra and then slides a reverse finish past Courtois. 2-1.
83'
Watford head straight back up the other end and Zeegelaar hits the byline, his cross deflecting up kindly for the grateful Courtois.
Minute
Description
82'
E. Hazard has scored a goal for Chelsea!
GOAL! Brilliant from Hazard and Chelsea are level! The Watford players cannot believe it. The little Belgian beats Mariappa twice and then, from 25 yards, shoots into the bottom-right corner. It's a scarcely deserved equaliser but an equaliser all the same. 1-1.
81'
SAVE! Fabregas draws a first save from Karnezis. It's lovely football from Chelsea, Hazard cutting the ball back for Azpilicueta to dummy. In came Fabregas with a low curler, but the Watford goalkeeper got down smartly.
80'
SAVE! The Hornets do eventually get a shot off through Pereyra, but Courtois holds on.
79'
Vital defensive work from Fabregas! Deulofeu has too much pace for his compatriot and squares to Doucoure in the area, but Fabregas gets back to smash clear as the Watford man readied a shot.
78'
There are just a few nerves creeping in among the home supporters as Zeegelaar gives up a throw-in in his own half. Watford have dominated, but they still lead by just the one goal.
77'
It is again Watford who push forward in search of getting the second goal. A high cross is claimed with ease by Courtois.
75'
Chelsea are keeping the ball, but they have not tested Karnezis yet and we are heading into the final 15 minutes. That's a concern for Conte.
73'
Capoue is frustrated as he's pulled back for handball when he looked to have set up a break. The Chelsea free-kick comes to nothing.
CHANCE! Deeney intercepts when Deulofeu looks certain to score! A low cross from the left is heading straight for the Spaniard when his captain steps in, eventually attempting to tee up his team-mate who, by then, has no angle to aim at.
72'
Wasteful from Capoue. He brings the ball forward and, with options either side, drags a low shot a long way wide.
71'
The visiting Chelsea fans are roaring their team forward, but Watford take a minute to regain their composure and keep the ball. They lead 1-0 against the 10 men.
70'
The game has been very open, but it's just getting a little scrappy. Giroud's lay-off is poor, letting Deeney in, but the Watford man also concedes possession with a sloppy touch.
68'
CLOSE! A winding Moses run results in a cross that is blocked, but a second cross seeks out Giroud and his header is deflected just over the bar for a corner.
Giroud fouls Prodl from the set-piece, catching the defender with a stray arm, and Watford can regroup.
67'
The initial delivery is cleared and Holebas then takes too long to send in a second cross, allowing Kante to knock the ball away.
66'
SAVE! Doucoure is dominating the midfield and he almost finds the net. Deeney lays the ball off for his team-mate to charge through and sting Courtois' palms with a firm drive. Corner.
65'
R. Pereyra enters the game and replaces Richarlison.
SUB! There's a Watford change, too. The lively Richarlison makes way for Pereyra.
64'
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces Pedro.
SUB! Pedro cannot continue and it's a Chelsea debut for Giroud! All of his four league goals this season have come from the bench. Can he dig the Blues out of a hole here?
63'
Meanwhile, Pedro requires treatment. He hobbles off the pitch with the aid of a physio.
62'
Cesc Fàbregas gets yellow.
YELLOW! Chelsea lost their discipline in an FA Cup clash with Norwich City last month and they look like they could well do again here. Fabregas is the latest player booked for a late tackle.
At the end of a long passage of play in which there were tackles flying in all over the pitch, Janmaat drags a tame effort well wide.
60'
AND AGAIN! Now Richarlison nearly doubles Watford's lead. Deeney wins the ball back instantly from the goal-kick and the Brazilian fires a shot across Courtois and just wide.
59'
CLOSE! The free-kick is cleared only as far as Deulofeu, who shoots narrowly wide. Courtois was stretching and may not have got there.
58'
David Luiz gets yellow.
There's all sorts of space in the midfield for yellow shirts to run into when Chelsea give up possession. Deulofeu easily beats the advancing Cahill, allowing Deeney to find Janmaat. In comes the cross, but Richarlison's header bounces across the face of goal.
YELLOW! This has not been the return to the team that David Luiz would have hoped for and he's booked for lashing out at Zeegelaar by the touchline.
56'
A trio of Watford challenges on the flank cannot dispossess Kante, with Hazard then shaping a pass out to Moses on the right. The Nigerian crosses, but there's no-one in the middle to get on the end of a pretty poor delivery.
55'
Karnezis knocks the free-kick long and both Zeegelaar and Moses return to the action. Watford are on top in this one.
53'
Zeegelaar belatedly clambers up and he's now in discussion with the referee as his head is tended to. He may well be able to continue.
52'
Moses is back on his feet, but Zeegelaar remains down. The stretcher is being called for, with the Watford man still lying on his side.
51'
Great header, Zeegelaar! Zappacosta gets to the byline and crosses towards the back post and Moses, but the Watford man is up first and nods clear. He takes a whack in the process and both players require treatment as the free-kick goes the way of the home side.
50'
S. Prödl gets yellow.
David Luiz crucially intercepts! Richarlison controls a pass inside the area, but the defender gets a toe in to knock the ball back to Courtois.
YELLOW! Prodl is booked for an earlier foul on Hazard when the ball finally goes out of play.
49'
Brilliant from Richarlison. He beats three men in the middle of midfield and bursts into the Chelsea half. The pass to Deeney is a little slow, but Watford keep the ball.
48'
Richarlison sets Zeegelaar away again, but the pass inside to Deeney is short. Although Richarlison cannot win the ball back, Watford keep the pressure on in a bid to force yet more Chelsea errors.
47'
Chelsea are starting the second half on the front foot, but Watford have the numbers to force the ball back up the other end. Richarlison retains a threat on the break.
46'
KICK-OFF: We are up and running once more at Vicarage Road.
45' +3
HALF-TIME: Watford 1 Chelsea 0
45' +2
CHANCE! Pedro should do much better as he blazes over. Moses gets away from Zeegelaar and feeds the Spaniard, but he cannot keep his left-footed shot down from inside the area.
45' +1
Corner to Watford. It could be more. Deulofeu does really well to cross from the right, but no team-mate can direct the ball goalwards. A second centre is blocked and eventually Capoue shoots wide, via a deflection.
The corner does not clear the near post and instead ruffles the sidenetting. There will be two minutes of stoppage time.
45'
Richarlison gets yellow.
YELLOW! Richarlison is late to a challenge on Pedro and goes into the book.
44'
"You're getting sacked in the morning," sing the Watford fans to Conte. Chelsea are struggling to regain a foothold in the game.
42'
Penalty goal scored by T. Deeney for Watford!
GOAL! Deeney rifles beyond Courtois! The goalkeeper tried to read the penalty and stay central, but he was not close to saving a powerful strike. 1-0.
41'
PENALTY! Courtois brings down Deulofeu! The Spaniard has been lively throughout and he nicks the ball beyond the goalkeeper and rides the challenge to win a Watford spot-kick. Deeney to take...
40'
Richarlison sets Zeegelaar away down the left, but the cross is blocked. Watford knock the ball backwards and build again. Chelsea have all 10 men behind the ball when out of possession.
39'
It's Chelsea's turn to keep the ball. This will come as some relief to Conte after a difficult period, but they are not really threatening to trouble Watford in attack. It might take a moment of inspiration from a Fabregas or a Hazard.
37'
Chelsea comfortably clear and then Pedro wins a free-kick from Janmaat as Watford overplay the ball. The hosts have plenty of time to win this game against 10 men.
36'
Watford keep the pressure on and Moses is required to make a fine defensive header to deny Richarlison at the far post. Holebas shapes up for a long throw again.
35'
SAVE! A first save of note for Courtois, but he gathers Richarlison's effort easily. A shot from the left was well hit but too central to trouble the goalkeeper.
34'
Cesc Fàbregas enters the game and replaces Willian.
SUB! Willian is the victim of Bakayoko's red card, with the Brazilian making way for Fabregas.
33'
Chelsea now opt for an alternative approach, moving the ball around leisurely in their own half. When they do move forward again, Hazard buys a foul. Still no Chelsea change.
32'
Hazard, Kante and then Willian lead a counter up the centre of the pitch for Chelsea, but a pass wide to Moses slows the move and Watford get men back - as they have done well throughout this first half.
31'
Can Watford take advantage now? As Chelsea ready a change - Conte seemingly looking to Fabregas - the hosts keep the ball on halfway.
30'
T. Bakayoko gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
RED! A horrible showing meets a premature end for Bakayoko. He is off. A poor first touch allows Richarlison to nip in and a rash challenge brings a second yellow card in quick succession.
29'
Watford get men back so quickly, but Chelsea work the ball really well to Zappacosta on the left. Although Moses knocks the centre down for Pedro to shoot against the post, the Nigerian used his arm to control the ball and the whistle is blown.
28'
Again the defender opts to go short, though, and his eventual cross is easily claimed by Courtois. Chelsea can break.
27'
Courtois comes for this one and punches well. Watford have a throw-in on the left, with Holebas winding up to launch the ball back into the box.
26'
The free-kick is launched towards Prodl, who loses out but wins the corner...
And another corner. It's a poor Deulofeu delivery, reaching only the near post, but it looks to be heading on target until Bakayoko clears.
25'
T. Bakayoko gets yellow.
YELLOW! Bakayoko has been particularly poor and he fouls Capoue clumsily after giving the ball to the Watford man. That's a booking.
24'
There are so many loose touches from the Chelsea midfielders, giving Watford chance after chance to take possession. There is no way through this time, though.
23'
Deeney holds the ball up really well in the area, pinning David Luiz, but the Chelsea man soon has help and the Blues can clear. There might have been a shooting opportunity there.
21'
There's another Watford player down. This time Deeney is holding his back after a challenge on the right-hand touchline. The Hornets get the free-kick.
20'
Willian and Azpilicueta superbly work space on the right for the former to look inside to Kante. The Frenchman's attempted pass out to Zappacosta on the left is woeful, however, flying over his team-mate's head.
19'
BLOCK! Cahill makes a vital intervention to deny Richarlison. An awful, lazy Kante pass gifts the Brazilian an opening, shimmying past the first challenge and shooting hard and low. Cahill blocks brilliantly.
There's a short stoppage as Deulofeu recovers, having taken the ball in the face from Zappacosta's challenge.
18'
Watford go short with Holebas, who then attempts to beat a man and commits a foul. That was a bizarre decision, with Chelsea players nearby.
17'
Deeney is winning every header in the middle, with Richarlison feeding off the front man. Another dash down the outside of Azpilicueta results in a corner.
15'
Azpilicueta recovers well to slow Richarlison on the left. The Brazilian had got away from his marker, but the defender ensures a deflected cross to the far side of the area is the best that can be mustered.
13'
Hazard is crowded out every time he receives possession, with three Watford players in close attendance on this occasion. The Belgian is hobbling, too.
12'
CHANCE! And now a real opening at the other end for Willian. Moses' centre hits Holebas and drops for the Brazilian to smash at goal from around 10 yards out. He clears the crossbar, when Karnezis would have struggled to react.
10'
CHANCE! What an opportunity for Deeney. The corner reaches the Watford captain completely unmarked at the back post, but his attempted volley is completely miscued and bobbles wide. He really should have scored.
9'
And now a corner to Watford. The Hornets are well on top, Richarlison's deflected drive running behind.
CLOSE! Deulofeu almost nets the opener. The speedy forward runs at David Luiz from the right, but he's forced a little wide and lashes his finish into the sidenetting.
8'
WIDE! Doucoure drags across the face of goal. That move started with Richarlison picking out Janmaat on the right, with the consequent cross cleared only as far as the Watford midfielder. From 20 yards, he could not find the target.
7'
Capoue wins a free-kick on the left for Watford, a team-mate having brilliantly halted the roving Hazard. The hosts are working hard.
6'
Watford have started brightly, with the game largely played in the Chelsea half. Javi Gracia will hope for more of the same.
5'
Good defending, Cahill! Bakayoko plays a loose pass and Deulofeu's intercepting first touch looks to take him beyond the Chelsea defence. Cahill steps across the former Everton man, allowing Courtois to claim.
4'
A cross from the right clears Richarlison's head, before Deeney gets on the end of a delivery from the opposite flank. Chelsea scramble clear, with referee Mike Dean content that there was no handball. There are penalty appeals from the home supporters, but nothing from the players.
3'
A nervy moment for Courtois early on. Deulofeu brings the crowd to its feet by haring after the Chelsea goalkeeper, forcing a punt that gifts Watford a throw-in in a promising position on the right.
2'
Kante seeks out Zappacosta with an optimistic switch from right to left, but the ball runs behind for a goal-kick, some way ahead of the wing-back.
1'
KICK-OFF: Watford get us up and running.
The two sides trade long balls in the opening minute, Courtois eventually collecting as the ball drops into his area.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the Premier League game between Watford and Chelsea at Vicarage Road!
Champions Chelsea are a huge 19 points off the pace set by runaway leaders Manchester City this season, with the Blues' Champions League qualification hopes now in peril as Tottenham close in on Antonio Conte's men.
It will be crucial for Chelsea to bounce back here from their shock midweek home defeat to Bournemouth, and Watford - winless since Boxing Day in the league - could provide the ideal opposition.
Let's get the team news...
Subs: Daniel Bachmann, Joy Mukena, Didier Ndong, Roberto Pereyra, Dodi Lukebakio, Andre Carrillo, Andre Gray.
Watford (3-4-2-1): Orestis Karnezis, Adrian Mariappa, Sebastian Prodl, Jose Holebas, Daryl Janmaat, Etienne Capoue, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Marvin Zeegelaar, Gerard Deulofeu, Troy Deeney, Richarlison.
Subs: Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson, Danny Drinkwater, Cesc Fabregas, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Olivier Giroud.
Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Thibaut Courtois, Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Victor Moses, N'Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Davide Zappacosta, Willian, Pedro, Eden Hazard.
Watford look to match their opponents' shape, bringing in Janmaat and Zeegelaar. Conte makes three changes after Wednesday's loss. David Luiz is back in the side for the first time since October, while Moses and Willian also come in.
Javi Gracia added: "It is always difficult to play against teams like Chelsea. This will be demanding physically and tactically."
"[David Luiz] has to play and prove that he deserves to play," Conte told Sky.
And there are new signings on the bench for both sides - Ndong and Lukebakio for Watford, Emerson and Giroud for Chelsea.
So there is understandably a great deal of focus on floundering Chelsea, but the Hornets are also in dire need of a result. Watford have not scored in Javi Gracia's first two games in charge in all competitions and they are just three points clear of the relegation zone.
Who will take the points from this one? We're about to find out...
The teams are in the tunnel. We are just a few minutes away from kick-off at Vicarage Road.
Watford are good value for their half-time lead against the 10 men of Chelsea, Deeney having netted from the spot following a foul on Deulofeu. Bakayoko was sent off earlier on for the Blues for two bookable offences.
The half-time scoreline does not make good reading for Chelsea, and they have lost their last six league matches when trailing at half-time.
The Blues have also now matched Watford's league-high seasonal tally of four red cards with that Bakayoko dismissal. Only Grimsby Town can top Chelsea's seven in all competitions in English football.
Meanwhile, Deeney's goal was his third of the season, all of which have been penalties against top six clubs. The Watford captain previously netted from the spot against Arsenal and Manchester United.
So Chelsea have it all to do. We will bring you the second-half action shortly...
Watford may have played against 10 men for an hour, but they are deserving 4-1 winners against the champions. Bakayoko's red card was merely the first of a series of mishaps on a miserable day for Chelsea.
Deeney opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half, but Hazard looked to have earned the Blues a point against the run of play. Back came Watford, however, with Janmaat, Deulofeu and Pereyra all finding the net late on to kill off Conte's men.
The pressure will really be on the Chelsea manager now, with a battle on his hands to keep the champions in the top four. They also have a Champions League tie against Barcelona to come this month...
That's all from this one, where Watford ran roughshod over Chelsea. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
